Current Work

Three interconnected projects — digital infrastructure, physical space, and community ecosystem — exploring how interoperability works across systems.

Polychat

A living prototype for interoperable communication.

Polychat enables group communication across messaging platforms using Matrix-based infrastructure. It allows people to participate from within their preferred tools — without forcing standardisation.

Polychat is both a practical service and a demonstration: interoperability can be experienced by everyday users. It is particularly relevant for organisational or ad hoc groups — schools, clubs, meetups, hobby groups — where people with different backgrounds, devices, and preferences need to communicate with each other.

Role: Initiator, Head of UX, Head of Product

Das Rössl

A physical co-creation and cultural space in Krems, Austria.

Das Rössl connects regional, national, and international communities across Vienna, Berlin, and London. It combines coworking, workshops, residencies, and temporary living — creating a space where collaboration can emerge organically.

It is the physical counterpart to my digital work: building resilient environments where different people, practices, and perspectives can coexist and create together.

Matrix Ecosystem & Workations

Infrastructure, community, and discourse.

I am an active contributor within the Matrix ecosystem — co-organising the Matrix Community Summit and contributing to community-driven infrastructure initiatives. My involvement spans product, event design, and ecosystem alignment — connecting developers, organisations, and cultural actors around interoperable communication.

A central element of this work has been the development of workations as a collaborative format — combining focused work with shared living and exploration. These gatherings create spaces where developers, artists, designers, and community members can work together while building social cohesion and creative exchange. I have helped organise such workations in Southeast Asia, Krems in Lower Austria, and on the island of Rügen.

Datanauten

Matrix-based infrastructure for real-world use.

Co-founded with the mission to set up and adapt free software for specific needs. Datanauten enables people to use sovereign digital infrastructure — owned, controlled, and shaped by its users.
